Announcing the First Round of #FinCon17 Speakers!

We could not be more excited about #FinCon17 October 25-28 in Dallas, Texas!

We’ve already announced our first keynote speaker Darren Rowse, and we’re thrilled to tell you about 3 of our Big Idea presenters:

Kyle Taylor

While managing massive student loans and debt in 2010, Kyle began to blog about his adventures in making and saving money. Readers responded and this culminated into the launch of ThePennyHoarder.com.

Under his leadership, The Penny Hoarder has grown from a personal blog to one of the largest publications on the web with millions of readers a month. The Penny Hoarder has pioneered a new kind of personal finance media with stories about real people and actionable money tips that make a true difference in our readers’ budgets.

Kyle is active in local politics after spending nearly six years on the road as a campaign worker crafting media strategy, directing field workers, and raising millions of dollars for important causes. He feels passionately that people should earn a livable wage no matter what their job. In 2016, the Inc. 5000 ranked The Penny Hoarder the 32nd fastest-growing private company and the No. 1 fastest-growing private media company in the United States.

Erin Chase

Erin Chase is the founder of 5DollarDinners.com, 5DollarMealPlan.com, GroceryBudgetMakeover.com, and MyFreezEasy.com and author of The $5 Dinner Mom Cookbook series. She’s on a mission to help busy, overwhelmed home chefs learn to spend less money on groceries and get organized in the kitchen. Her courses and membership programs have helped tens of thousands of shoppers save hundreds of thousands of dollars and countless shreds of sanity. Beyond the money savings, she’s helped many people come to enjoy cooking again and help them stop feeling stressed and overwhelmed with feeding their families every single night.

Most recently, she’s taken her passion for teaching others to succeed and her obsession with efficiency, systems and processes and launched the PIEK Efficiency Masterclass. In the class, she’s bringing new life to the stressed-out entrepreneur’s schedule, workflow and efficiency. Her project management skills, calendar mastery, task delegation and more are improving the way small business owners get through their days.

When not whipping up delicious, frugal meals in the kitchen or helping streamline work schedules, she can be found out of a run, chasing her 4 boys around the neighborhood, or taking escape from the south Texas heat at the pool. She lives with her husband, 4 boys and 1 furry boy in San Antonio, TX.

Paula Pant

Paula Pant quit her 9-to-5 job to travel the globe, then built financial independence through real estate investing. Her website, Afford Anything, has grown to a community of more than 45,000 subscribers, and the Afford Anything podcast has enjoyed 1.5 million downloads since its launch in 2016. Both spread the idea that you can afford anything, but not everything.
