The Biggest Changes Coming to FinCon 2025

We say it every year, and we mean it: FinCon is built for you—the creators, the coaches, the educators, the brands helping people make smarter money moves.

Whether you’ve been to five FinCons or you’re still deciding if this is your year, we’ve got some fresh updates for 2025 that we think you’ll be pretty pumped about.

Same mission: helping thousands reach millions with a positive money message.

Same focus: real connections, practical growth, and building a creator business that actually works.

We’ve made a few additions and changes this year because who doesn’t love a good upgrade?

FinCon is turning 15!

FinCon started back in 2011 when 200 personal finance bloggers gathered outside Chicago to meet in person for the first time—to collaborate, swap ideas, and figure out how to talk about money on the internet. And just like that, a community was brought together.

Since then, the platforms have changed, and so has the way you create. YouTube was still finding its footing. Instagram had just launched the year before. Podcasting was still considered niche. TikTok? Didn’t exist. Most creators were writing blog posts, experimenting with email, and trying to convince their families that “online content” was a real thing.

Now, many of you are running multi-platform businesses. You’ve built audiences on YouTube and TikTok, grown podcasts with millions of downloads, launched membership sites, coaching programs, mobile apps, and full-blown product lines. And through it all, FinCon has grown right alongside you.

We’ve expanded our content to cover more advanced strategies, added support for video creators and podcasters, and continued to evolve the event to meet you where you are.

And along the way, many of you made FinCon an annual tradition. You’ve built friendships here, openly shared strategies with zero gatekeeping, and cheered each other on. You’ve built a community of money nerds who value collaboration over competition and genuinely root for each other to succeed.

That’s why we’re making this year a celebration of YOU, the creators and brands who’ve helped shape this space.

We’ll have a few fun nods to the early days (should the pink flamingo return?), some familiar faces making a return, and yes, a few surprises in store.

If this is your first time joining us, don’t worry. You’ve found your people, and we’ve got plenty planned to help you feel right at home.

Women in Money, Built In

Women in Money has grown into a vibrant part of the FinCon community over the last couple of years, and this year, it’s woven into FinCon 2025.

In 2023, we kicked things off with events in Atlanta and Los Angeles. In 2024, we gathered at NASDAQ in Times Square. Each one had its own vibe, but the heart has always been the same: connecting and celebrating the women shaping how we talk about money.

So for Year 3, and in honor of FinCon’s 15th, we’re integrating Women in Money throughout the event in a bigger way.

If you’re attending FinCon 2025, you’re in! No extra sign-up or additional cost. Every Women in Money event is open to women with a FinCon 2025 pass.

It starts Tuesday night, September 9, with the Women in Money Food Cart-y Party, an off-site gathering for women with a FinCon pass. We’ll gather at one of Portland’s iconic food cart pods for an evening of conversation, connection, and some of the city’s best bites.

We’re also introducing Women in Money Collab Labs. These are interactive sessions where you’ll get to know other creators by working on creative challenges together. They’re part networking, part problem-solving, and all about meaningful collaboration.

You’ll brainstorm, generate content ideas together, and stretch your creativity with other women who get what you do.

We’ll also host a Women in Money Creator Conversation, offering a dedicated time for conversation around topics that matter to women in the money space.

1:1 Meetings Now Open to Everyone

One-on-one meetings between creators and brands have always been a core part of the FinCon experience. They’re where partnerships can begin, often the kind that continue long after the event is over.

In the past, these meetings (formerly called Pro Networking) were reserved for higher-tier passholders. But this year, we’re opening them up to everyone. Whether you have a Creator Pass or an All Access Creator Pass, you can opt in.

Why the change? Because brands are looking to work with creators across the board, not just the biggest names. They’re also interested in micro-influencers, niche voices, and anyone doing consistent, quality work with a trusted audience. There’s room at the table for all kinds of creators.

Here’s how it works: You’ll get access to the FinCon app, including a list of participating brands, a few weeks before the event. Within the app, you can request meetings with brand reps, and they can request meetings with you. Both sides can accept or decline, and once confirmed, you’ll head to Portland with meetings already on your calendar.

It’s 15 minutes, face-to-face, with brand reps who want to work with you. Skip the cold emails and the guesswork. Just open the FinCon app, set your availability, and show up ready to talk partnerships.

New AMA Panels

Things in the creator world move fast, and sometimes the best way to keep up is by hearing directly from experts who are succeeding at the work.

That’s why we’re adding four new Ask Me Anything panels at FinCon 2025. Each one is designed to go deep on a specific topic, featuring expert creators who can speak to the specifics of your challenges, give practical insights, and share what’s working for them right now, not six months ago. You’ll be able to submit questions ahead of time, and the panelists will answer them live at the event.

This year’s AMA topics include:

  • YouTube
  • Short-Form Video
  • Using AI as Creators
  • Podcasting

The Podcasting panel is already announced, with more speaker details coming soon for the others!

New All Access Creator Pass

We’ve introduced a new pass option for creators who want more connection, more convenience, and a few extra perks.

The All Access Creator Pass is perfect if you’re looking for more time with brands and experts, a quiet space to regroup, and a more streamlined experience.

Perks include:

  • A networking lunch with speakers and brand reps
  • Daily access to an on-site lounge with drinks, snacks, and space to recharge—or chat with fellow All Access creators and brand reps
  • Reserved seating in sessions
  • Expedited check-in

And of course, it includes everything that comes with a Basic Creator Pass, too.

New Partners & New Possibilities

We’ve got a great mix of new and returning sponsors and exhibitors joining us in Portland, ready to connect with creators like you, with more brands coming on board each week.

First-timers this year include financial brands and creator service providers who are excited to support your work and build real partnerships. Bronze sponsors like:

  • DeleteMe, helping you quickly and safely remove personal data from the internet
  • Array, making it easier for you to connect with your audience and empower them to take ownership of their financial future
  • Monarch, giving people a better way to track, budget, and do more with their money

You’ll also see new sponsors like Chapter, Shure, Campaigner, and more.

And of course, we’re welcoming back some familiar faces:

  • Plynk (Silver Sponsor)
  • Money.com, FINRA, LLCAttorney.com, and Creator CPA (Bronze Sponsors)

You can meet all of these partners inside FinCon Central, open throughout the event and with dedicated hours to make connecting easier, just like last year. Want something more personal? Request a 1:1 Meeting with the brands you’re most excited about.

Keep an eye out for new additions as we get closer to September.

New City: Hello, Portland

We’re heading back to the West Coast! FinCon 2025 will be in Portland, Oregon, a city known for its creative energy, entrepreneurial spirit, and strong sense of community.

Portland’s walkability, food scene, and endless places to gather and collaborate make it the perfect match for the FinCon community. Whether you’re catching up with other creators over coffee, meeting up at a food cart pod, or filming a reel between sessions, this city was built for spontaneous meetups and creative inspiration.

All sessions and events will be held at the Oregon Convention Center, just across the street from our official hotel, the Hyatt Regency Portland. It’s a new layout for us, but one that still makes it easy to run into familiar faces and stay close to the action.

Check out our full guide to Portland, the venue, and where to stay.

Still the FinCon You Know and Love

Even with all the fresh updates, the heart of FinCon hasn’t changed.

You’ll still find practical sessions led by creators who know the work. You’ll still find intentional spaces to connect with others in your corner of the internet. You’ll still find opportunities to collaborate and create content on-site.

Most importantly, you’ll still be surrounded by a community of money nerds who get it, and the momentum that comes from being in the same place at the same time.

Haven’t grabbed your pass yet? Now’s the time.
