Join the #FinCon14 Group Blogging Project: The Retiree Next Door One-Day Movement!
Most of us are well ahead of our peers when it comes to saving, investing, and planning for retirement.
That’s natural – we’re passionate about this subject.
But many of our readers and listeners are falling short. I’ve seen this truth personally affect members of my community at PTMoney.com, and even in my own family.
When it comes to providing content on the importance of retirement, most of us naturally look through our own lens – which frankly can be short-sighted and not authoritative (unless of course we happen to be Mr. Money Mustache).
That’s because most of us haven’t retired successfully. At least not yet. That’s why I think it’s important, when you’re discussing retirement savings, to rely on the stories of those who have made it. This approach helped make The Millionaire Next Door very popular, right?
The Retiree Next Door Survey Results
Well now’s your chance to access new, unpublished data that can help you engage your readers and listeners like never before. I recently partnered with personal finance community MoneyTips.com to help survey more than 500 Americans who are currently, or soon to be, retired.
The results of The Retiree Next Door survey reveals:
- how much successful retirees have saved and how;
- how they spend and how they live today; and
- how they minimize the risk of outliving their savings.
The results shared by successful retirees are being compiled into the eBook you see to the right.
From my humble list of followers at PTMoney.com, I was able to attract over 150 survey participants. It surprised me how many people on my list are looking for this type of retirement-related content.
So today – along with Michael Dubrow, co-founder at MoneyTips.com (and Bargain.com) – I’d like to invite all #FinCon14 attendees, financial bloggers, podcasters, and other media to join The Retiree Next Door movement.
We can make waves with this. We’re hoping your collective groundswell of posts, tweets, comments, likes and shares will generate a holistic view of retirement that impacts millions of Americans in a big way.
Want to join the conversation? Here’s how:
