#FINCON12: Results from the Recent Survey
No conference location is going to be perfect and make everyone happy. However, feedback from the survey has been immensely helpful, and Phil is very close to making a decision and announcement. Remember that the final decision might be made based on hotel availability, and other factors.
Happily, though, most people seem open to going wherever the conference takes them. I know that I’ll go to the conference wherever it is held. Even if it’s not for my top choice of city.
Here are some of the results:
Chicago and San Diego tied with votes among the five cities. And the sentiment was pretty much split 50/50 between the two on the question of preference between those two cities.
Also, it appears as though $125 is the point at which our (mostly) frugal PF bloggers would start looking for another hotel. If the price of the hotel is higher than that, we’ll have to consider a definite room-sharing document to help you find roomies to spit the cost. We’d like as many bloggers as possible to stay at the hotel.
Happily, it looks as though preferences regarding hotel location can help ease the cost a bit, since staying in a downtown location isn’t a huge deal for many of the probable attendees.
Also, it looks as though mid-September or mid-October are the preferred dates. So, look ahead, and get ready to mark your calendars.
Looking forward to seeing you all at FINCON12!
