Another FinCon has come and gone. It’s time to dig into the data and see how far our community’s reach traveled.
Twitter isn’t the only channel, but it’s certainly the most active when it comes to FinCon. The #FinCon13 hashtag was used year round to connect attendees, and it was used heavily over the conference dates to share information and nuggets of wisdom from the speakers.
From Monday, October 14th to Monday, October 21st, we saw the following:
- 1.4 Million People Reached
- 15.5 Million Impressions
- 4,800 Tweets
- 700 Contributors

Thanks to everyone who used Twitter to communicate with other attendees and share the message of FinCon with your followers. A special thanks goes out to @savinglifestyle @youngfinances @squarepennies @moneymatters and @yesiamcheap for their extra effort and reach.
Next year we should look for ways to use Twitter to further not just the message of FinCon, but something greater than that: the need for financial literacy, debt reduction, etc.
